Manual vs. Automatic System Lay-out Comparison

Manual Balanced System: Total number of valves 27 (in illustration below).
In addition to terminal unit valves manual balancing requires "partner valves" located on the branches, raisers and main.

Automatic Balanced System: Total number of valves 18 (in illustration below).
Due to the automatic balancing of each fan-coil no "partner valves" are required. The location of the FlowCon automatic balancing valve does not require lengths of pipe before or after the valve.
